Autumn colours in the garden

Its that time of year again, where everything in the garden is rich in colour and the hedgerows are full of berries...a photographers dream. These guys seem to be enjoying it.

Emma and Matt's cracking pre-wedding photo shoot in Topsham, Devon

I had a fantastic evenings shoot last week in this strangely balmy April weather we are having...I love it! bring on the summer.

Emma and Matt booked a pre-wedding photo shoot with me, before the big day in August, Just to alleviate those pre wedding photography nerves as we all know how nerve wracking it can be on the  day!!! It was a great way to break the ice and have a couple of hours walking and talking while I snapped away like crazy with the most amazing sunset happening in the background.

magic light + matt and emma + topsham = some real beauties:)

Thank you Matt and Emma

A selection of portraits for childrens author, Claire Barker.

My first day of work since going on maternity leave was a total blast, thanks Claire Barker:)

Devon  children's author and illustrator, Claire Barker, contacted me wanting an author portrait for her new series of children's books, which will be out on the shelves at Waterstone's  this Christmas time. She is absolutely bonkers and lovely, a very talented lady, I can't wait to see the finished book cover.....watch this space!!!
Little terrier 'sam' came along for the photoshoot, he was a little star and was allowed into the 'no dogs allowed area' for photos, he was very very well behaved in the walled garden. doggie treats helped a lot!

We had a fab day chatting and snapping away,  while walking the grounds of knighthayes, a national trust property near Tiverton. The sun shone and it was the most perfect crisp, bright March day, it hardly felt like work at all. I really do love my job sometimes.

I came to Jules needing to have a set of professional author shots. Like most people, I’m not keen on having my photo taken, but she made the day an absolute pleasure from beginning to end.

When the photos came back, I could see that she’d achieved that rare and special thing; producing beautiful, technically terrific images whilst capturing my personality at the same time.   I will confidently use these images for launches, books and festivals, knowing that they will stand me in excellent stead. Thank you – I’m so lucky I found you. I'll be shouting your name from the rooftops!
